Q. What do I need to place an order? A. In order to place an order you need to get a copy of your prescription from your optician. Your optician is obliged to give you your prescription after a sight test. You should also ask for your pupilary distance. Q. How can you charge such low prices? A. We do not have the high overheads such as expensive high street premises or expensive sight testing equipment. Save money by ordering your glasses with us. Q. What are your lenses made from? A. High quality, lightweight, plastic hard resin (1.5 index) lenses, the same quality as used by your optician. Q. Can I get thinner lenses? A. We can offer lenses, that will reduce the weight and thickness of your lenses. We recommend our thin lenses for over +/- 3.00Dioptres, and very thin for higher prescriptions over+/-4.50 Dioptres. Q. Do you sell bifocal lenses? A. Yes. They are D28 bifocals, but they are not bespoke. They are set at a height 3mm below the lens centre. Q. Do you sell varifocal lenses? A. Yes we do. You just need to follow the instructions on our site to order them. If you have any queries then contact us. Q. What is an anti reflection coating ? A. It is a coating on the lens surface that will make the lenses look more transparent. This allows more light through the lens improving the cosmetic appearance and vision. Q. What are photochromic lenses? A. They are lenses that go dark in sunlight, and nearly clear at night. They go darkest when it is bright and cold. When it is hot they will not go quite as dark. Q. What tints do you offer? A. We offer a range of different colours in either; light (15% absorption) for reducing glare, or dark (85% absorption), which is a sunglass tint. |
