Lens Information
Photochromic lenses have a pale tint and go darker when exposed to sunlight or ultra violet light. They go darkest when it is bright and cold.

Thin lenses are 1.6 refractive index. They reduce weight and thickness. We recommend thin lenses on prescriptions over +/-3.00. Our thin lenses are knife edge, aspheric or high index, whichever are most suitable for the prescription.

Very thin lenses are 1.67 refractive index, they reduce weight and thickness more effectively than thin lenses. We recommend very thin lenses on prescriptions over +/-4.00. Our very thin lenses are high index and aspheric. Our very thin lenses are anti reflection coated as standard.

Thinnest lense are 1.74 refractive index. They are the thinnest plastic lenses available and advised for higher prescriptions. These lenses come with hard and anti reflection coating.

Anti reflection coating lets more light through the lens, improving the optics, and cosmetic appearance by making the lens more ‘see through’. We particularly recommend anti reflection coatings for computers, night driving and on rimless glasses.

Bifocals are D shaped. You can see distance through the top part of the lens and read through the bottom part of the lens.

Tints are to prevent glare. 15% tints are pale and cut out a small amount of glare. 85% tints are dark sunglass tints.

Varifocals. Our varifocals offer least distortion with reduced swim effect and with widest reading area. They are one of the best varifocal available.
